Devos said, “The only thing that stands between a man and what he wants in life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe it is possible.” The Better Bodies Weight Loss Challenge that Kenny Warden led provided us with both the will and the faith to accomplish our goals. Through diet analysis, nutrition counseling, fitness instruction, and plain old hard work and sweat, Kenny helped us to lose weight, tone muscle, and improve our attitudes toward fitness. He challenged us to work beyond the our expectations and do more than we thought we could do. His mantra, “Just 30 more seconds – you can do anything for 30 seconds!” echoed throughout our classes and made us work harder just to spite him.
I had been trying to lose 15 pounds for several months but just couldn’t find the motivation or desire to get serious about it. When I joined the Weight Loss Challenge, I had a supportive team atmosphere that provided me the impetus to succeed. Working together with other team members to achieve a common goal was a rewarding and satisfying experience. And… not only did I reach my goal weight, but I also made nine new friends.
